Autologous bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC )

Bone marrow-derived aspiration material is a mixed source containing almost all stem and progenitor cells concurrently. For this reason, the concentrate of bone marrow origin derived by removing hematogenic blood elements is called bone marrow mononuclear cells. The presence of progenitor cells, platelets, lymphocytes, monocytes, growth factors (TGF-β, IGF-1, PDGF, VEGF) and cytokines in addition to hematopoietic and mesenchymal stem cells in this concentrated fluid is of great importance for the restoration mechanism of the body. Today, this concentrate is commonly used for therapeutic purposes in cardiac diseases. Based on a similar rationale, bone marrow mononuclear cells may be considered as a better option in the treatment of erectile dysfunction for angiogenesis, neovascularization, improvement of smooth muscle and nerve tissues and anti-inflammatory effects.
